Steven C. Lester

Mr. Lester graduated from Albion College with high honors in June, 1967 and entered the University of Michigan Law School. He left law school in 1968 to enlist in the United States Army where he served for four years. After graduating from Infantry Officers' Candidate School in June, 1969, he eventually served a combat tour in Viet Nam from August, 1971 through February, 1972. He was awarded the Combat Infantrymen's Badge, the Bronze Star, the Air Metal, and a Purple Heart. Upon being honorably discharged, he returned to the University of Michigan Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate Degree in December, 1974.

Mr. Lester started practicing as an associate of Jennings, Strouss& Salmon in 1975, focusing on commercial litigation and workers’ compensation defense. After achieving partner status, he left the firm in 1986 to establish a small firm with two colleagues in the workers’ compensation defense practice. In 1997, he started a solo practice and continued to focus on workers’ compensation defense and subrogation

In 2009, Mr. Lester hired Ms. Brozina as an associate and in 2011, he established the Lester & Norton, P.C. partnership with Mr. Norton.
